Now I know this is a touchy subject and I am probably going to get chewed out by my younger fan base but I feel like this is something that needs to be addressed. Yesterday I was on facebook when I came across a posted video in my news feed. This video was titled B***h Suck My D**K, obviously I clicked on it to see what it was. It is a song by an artist named Tyler the Creator. Needless to say the song was horrible, No flow no musical talent, bland instrumental and vulgar phrases repeated over and over for the chorus. I then realized that kids these days like this kind of stuff and started to think, “what is this world coming to”.
I don’t know if its just a part of maturing for me because I used to listen to Eminem and he was equally as bad but I feel like he had musical talent and there was, if not anything else at least good wordplay and a good song to gain from listening to him. I never thought I would see the day that you need absolutely no talent to make money you just had to be disrespectful and rebellious. The message that these songs are putting out is in no way going to benefit this world and make it better.
We need to change people and it starts with you. More and more people are in jail, girls younger and younger are getting pregnant. Nobody has any morals anymore. Kids would rather shoot you than lose a fight. People are getting killed over the dumbest things. Children would rather come home and sit in front of a video game and listen to vulgar music than do anything productive. Yesterday I saw on the news that in my hometown of Ridley Township a man shot and killed another man and shot a young girl over a shed!!!! Because his neighbor built a shed that he didn’t want he took his life ruined his and ruined a young girl for the rest of her life.
In case you haven’t noticed this country is headed in a downward spiral. Its not going to change by sitting back and letting this stuff keep happening. The video you post up that you think is funny is really bringing more energy and attention to something negative. Change starts with you so next time your out and see something happening don’t follow the crowd and laugh, go against it and stand your ground and let people know that isn’t cool and there is no place for behavior like that in this world. Hold the door for the old lady at the store. Show some manners. That person who you see get picked on at school every day…. Be a friend to them. This world wont change itself so lets make it happen and do the WorCk.
