This is going to be short and sweet so pay close attention. I have 3 reasons on how to stop the bears defensively and 3 reasons on how to score offensively. On defense: 1. Stop matt forte 2. Stop matt forte 3. Stop matt forte. matt forte is currently leading the league in all purpose yards. If I’m Jaun Castillo, all I would have focused on in practice this week would be how limit his carries and keeping the linebackers and safeties ready to stop him from catching the pass out of the back field. Double team matt forte and let your corners and line do the rest because outside of matt forte the only concern of the bears putting points on the board is don’t punt the ball to devin hester. Now believe it or not, the defenses best hope is the offense. The 3 offensive keys: 1. Give the ball to LeSean McCoy. 2. Give the ball to LeSean McCoy. Give the ball to LeSean McCoy. You all have been watching him rack up the numbers this season and the past two weeks were proof that when you give him the ball the Eagles score. They scored in the second half for the first time since week three last week, helloooooo! If the offense can give the D some rest and a lead to work with than Jaun can switch to the wide nine again when the bears are forced to pass and Trent Cole, Cullin Jenkins and the NFL’s third ranked sack leader, Jason Babin can run wild on the bears soft offensive line! A balanced attack led by LeSean McCoy will assist the defense and the Eagles win. Finally I’ll wrap this up as I always do with the most exciting segment in all of sports journalism, my “Ed Lover C’Mon SON! of the week”. This is the first week of the year that hasn’t gone to an Eagle. So it gives me great pleasure to say to you rob ryan, C’Mon SON! How are you feeling about that all hype team comment now? Your defense could do next to nothing against the “all hype teams” offense! Looks the “The Dream Team” came out to play and created a nightmare for you! The Eagles punted one time on Sunday night, one time and that wasn’t until there was 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter! Sorry robby, back to the old drawing board I guess.
And last, but not least my game time prediction. Last week I predicted an Eagles loss and did my best to justify it with objective reasoning. This week I will do the same, the Eagles will struggle with the bears strong linebacker play complimented by a strong rush from julius peppers which proved to be too much for the Eagles to deal with last season. Eagles 26 bears 31 Happy MNF Eagles24x7 Nation and as always please leave your comments below!
